
Robert D. Williford is the founder and managing attorney of Williford Law, PLLC, where he provides strategic, client-focused legal services in personal injury, civil litigation, and contract advisement. With a reputation for clear communication, thoughtful advocacy, and responsive service, Robert is committed to helping individuals and businesses navigate complex legal issues with confidence and clarity.
His legal journey reflects discipline, mentorship, and a deep commitment to service. While attending Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Robert earned Dean’s List honors and was selected for the Sidley Austin 1L Diversity Summer Mentorship Program, where he gained invaluable insight from top legal professionals across the country.
A key part of Robert’s professional growth took place at Burts Law, PLLC, where he served as a Law Clerk under the mentorship of Managing Attorney Anthony Burts. There, he gained hands-on experience in litigation strategy, motion practice, discovery, and client development—skills that laid the foundation for the high standards he brings to Williford Law today.
Robert also served as a Summer Associate at American International Group (AIG) in Houston, where he worked on regulatory matters and contract review involving Fortune 500 companies. His early experience includes roles at The Oxbridge Law Firm, the Gaston County Public Defender’s Office, and the Durham County Attorney’s Office, where he assisted with legal research, brief drafting, and constitutional defenses.
He earned his Master of Public Administration from North Carolina Central University, where he mentored students as part of the African American Male Initiative. He completed his undergraduate degree at Shaw University, where he studied Political Science, played collegiate football, and joined Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
Robert launched Williford Law to provide accessible, quality legal counsel for everyday people facing serious legal matters. His practice is grounded in preparation, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to results.
